Menuflex™ provides real-world, needs-related employee benefits, health, dental, disability and other insurance products and services for people in a wide variety of employment situations.

Alternative Benefit Solutions Inc., located in Mississauga, Ontario, is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Menuflex™ Benefits Program.

The company maintains a staff of experts in group insurance, who are dedicated to exceeding our clients' expectations through the highest level of service. A Client Service Co-ordinator will respond to all participant inquiries regarding coverage, claim status and benefit options.

ABS will issue the participant pay-direct drug cards and booklets describing the benefits selected. Drug claims are handled through the pay-direct card at the pharmacy. Other medical and dental claims are submitted directly to ABS 's claims office, thus ensuring the confidentiality of health information. Claim payments are sent to the address on the claim form.

In addition to its expertise and support for the traditional insured plan markets, as a Group MGA ALTERNATIVE BENEFIT SOLUTIONS offers a full menu of alternatives and optional programs supported by our in-house TPA (Third Party Administrative Services) to provide a single source group resource facility.

This facility enables ABS to offer a unique combination of products and services that assists producing brokers to help their clients develop ongoing innovative cost savings plans.

Our approach to providing alternative solutions is characterized by the flexibility of our individually underwritten Menuflex™ Program. We also extend the alternatives we provide to include options within the traditional insured markets, as well as non-insured approaches supported by lower cost stop loss insurance to protect against catastrophic situations.

Extended Health Care & Dental:

The Basic and PLUS Health & Dental components of the Menuflex™ Benefits Program for Individuals are underwritten by Echelon General Insurance Company.

Echelon strives to be the pre-eminent writer of specialized, niche insurance products in the Canadian market. Harnessing the high level of underwriting and claims expertise of its staff, Echelon provides optimum service to its policyholders and intermediaries in a responsible, ethical manner.

The Niche Products Division of Echelon General Insurance Company underwrites specialty property and casualty (P&C) and specialty accident and sickness (A&S) insurance programs. We underwrite broker managed insurance programs in a variety of specialty property casualty insurance areas such as warranty, high risk property, multi peril casualty, primary and excess general liability. We also underwrite specialty accident and sickness products such as Extended Health and Dental Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance.

Out-of-Country:

The Out-of-Country coverage of the Menuflex™ Benefits Program for Individuals is underwritten by Royal & SunAlliance Canada, part of the Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance Group plc. Dating back to 1710, the Group provides a comprehensive range of insurance and financial services to customers worldwide.

Critical Illness and Accidental Death & Dismemberment:

The Optional Critical Illness and AD&D components of the Menuflex™ Benefits Program for Individuals are underwritten by ACE INA Insurance.

The Menuflex™ Disability Insurance Program is underwritten by Lloyd's of London.

Lloyd's has been active in Canada since the beginning of the century and obtained its first provincial license in Quebec in 1932 and subsequently became licensed in each province and territory, becoming federally registered in 1977. Lloyd's was granted marine licenses in 1996 in all jurisdictions in Canada.
